Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. The hospital hours are:
Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If at all possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency and be prepared for your arrival. If you don't call with your emergency a veterinarian might not be available as quickly.
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 7 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Veterinarians arrive an hour after opening except on Saturdays when they come at 9:30am. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a rat poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening,
Medical Procedures
With our knowledgeable staff we are able to deal with a wide variety of procedures at our clinic. Among these are a complete Medical Assessment, Dentistry, Cardiology, Dermatology (Skin), Radiology (X-rays) and Endocrinology (Hormones). We have the most state of the art equipment to provide the most information so that your pet gets the best care possible. Among these are an Electrocardiogram to examine heart function, a Doppler machine for blood pressure, and a hand held Nomad to get detailed digital images of your pet's teeth and roots. We also recently purchased a digital radiology machine to get superior images of any problem areas on your pet that need to be seen on x-ray. Our veterinarians will be happy to help you and your pet with any of these potential problems. Please feel free to call our office and set up an appointment today.
Surgical Procedures
Our veterinarians perform surgeries Monday through Friday. All of our patients are treated with the highest standard of care by being given an antibiotic and comfort injection prior to any procedure. An IV catheter is also placed prior to surgery to ensure your pet stays hydrated. During the procedure the patient is continuously monitored by a technician while the veterinarian of your choosing performs the surgery. After the procedure your pet continues to be monitored to ensure their well being and that they will be ready to go home that evening. All of our patients are either given an injection or are sent home with oral medications for comfort. The veterinarian/technician will go over all the at home care instructions with you upon picking your pet up. The only surgeries that stay overnight at the clinic are all declaws and some orthopedic surgeries depending on the length of the procedure.
Puppy and Kitten Vaccination Packages
We are glad to tell you that we offer programs for your new puppy or kitten to get all of their vaccines taken care of at a reasonable price. Both of our packages include complimentary nail trims at every visit. Also, if you are interested in learning let our staff know and we will teach you how to trim your own pet's nails.
Our Kitten package includes an exam at each visit, a Leukemia/AIDs test, a Distemper/Respiratory vaccine at each visit, stool sample tests at each visit along with dewormer if necessary and a Rabies vaccine at their last visit. It also includes a microchip at their spay or neuter*, complimentary cat carrier, 1 month of heartworm/flea preventative and a sample of food. Depending on the age of your kitten will determine how many visits it needs to stay current on it's vaccines.
Our Puppy package includes an exam at each visit, a Distemper/Parvovirus vaccine at each visit, stool sample tests at each visit along with dewormer if necessary and a Rabies vaccine at their last visit. It also includes a microchip at their spay or neuter*, their first month of heartworm and flea preventative and a sample of food. Depending on the age of your puppy will determine how many visits it needs to stay current on it's vaccines.
* The packages do NOT include the actual spaying or neutering. If you are not planning on having this procedure performed, the microchipping can be done at their last visit or at a later time at no charge.
Golden Age Physical (Senior Care)
Our clinic is happy to offer our Golden Age Physical to any patient 7 years or older. We recommend this exam because as your pet ages they may have subtle changes in their habits or behaviors that are impossible to notice and this gives our veterinarians the opportunity to see potential problems early and treat before it is too late. Even if everything is normal on your pet's test results it is nice to have a baseline for the patient because every animal is different and this gives our veterinarians an idea of what your pet's normals are. Our Golden Age Physical includes a thorough exam by the veterinarian of your choosing. A blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram (for heart function), eye pressure test (for glaucoma), dental exam, a full blood chemistry panel, complete blood count and thyroid check. Due to the amount of tests that are performed we ask that your pet spend the day with us in order so you are not waiting.
